Wazoo Sports Network to Broadcast 2009 State Championship Games

 Wazoo Sports Network to broadcast the 2009 Kentucky Middle School Football State Championship games on Sunday, November 1, 2009 starting at 1:00 p.m. with the 7th Grade Championship Game, 3:00 p.m. with the 8th Grade Division II Championship Game and 5:00 p.m. with the 8th Grade Division I Championship Game.  Additional highlights will include recognition for those players selected this past year to play in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas, as well as the All-State Team and MVP awards of the Championship playoffs.

1st Round Kentucky Middle School Football State Championship Playoffs – Meade County v Edmonson Co Div I 8th Grade

 

Kentucky Middle School Football Association – 8th Grade Division I Playoff Game


2009 Kentucky Middle School Football State Championship 1st round 8th Grade Division I playoffs – The Meade County (Stuart Pepper) Middle School 8th Grade defeated the Edmonson  County Middle School 8th Grade 38-12.  The game represented the best in middle school football.  The Greenwaves will advance to play in the next round of the Kentucky Middle School Football Championship playoffs on October 21st against the Corbin Roundhounds who defeated the Southern Pulaski Warriors 36-14.

1st Round Kentucky Middle School Football State Championship Playoffs – Meade County v Edmonson Co Div I 8th Grade

 

2009 Kentucky Middle School Football State Championship 1st round 8th Grade Division I playoffs – The Lexington Catholic Middle School 8th Grade Football Program defeated the Henry County Middle School 8th Grade 20-14 in over-time.  The game represented the best in middle school football going into over-time to determine the outcome.  Both teams played great football.  The Knights will advance to play in the quarter-final round of the Kentucky Middle School Football Championship playoffs on October 24st against the winner of the Anderson County/Grant County playoff game to be held on October 21st.

2009 KYMSFA FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFF BRACKETS

 

2009 KENTUCKY MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP


The Kentucky Middle School Football Association (“KYMSFA”) has established brackets and sites for the 2009 Kentucky Middle School Football State Championship.  The KYMSFA coordinates Kentucky’s statewide playoff structure for Kentucky’s middle school football programs. 


The 1st Kentucky Middle School Football Tournament Playoff games for 7th grade teams and Division I and Division II 8th grade teams will be held around the Commonwealth on October 17th, followed by quarter final games on October 24th, and the semi-finals and Championship games to be held on Saturday, October 31st and November 1st at John K. Ford Stadium at Lexington Catholic High School in Lexington, Kentucky.  The Championship games are scheduled to be televised this year by Wazoo Sports.


The KYMSFA was formed to provide an organization where middle school football coaches, parents and school administrators can work together with mutual respect.  The KYMSFA provides rules for the conduct of the sport, a forum for communication, offers training and educational opportunities, coordinating a championship playoff structure and other benefits requested by the membership.  The KYMSFA is made up of member middle school football programs across the Commonwealth.
